Methylation Array Data Analysis
Overview
This course is designed for analysis of Methylation array data. The course begins by introduction to micro array followed by different methylation platforms that are widely used.
Next we discuss about the raw data, IDAT format and methylation probes. We then demonstrate steps for data preprocessing, quality control, different normalization and filtration methods employed such as quantile, swan normalization etc. This is followed by differential methylation analysis, at both probe level and region level. We also demonstrate different visualization methods to showcase methylation data, both static and interactive plots. Finally we talk about some additional analysis such as batch affect correction using surrogate variable analysis, This course is designed with a case study where you will be introduced to various Bioconductor packages.
